May 16, 2013 – Explosion-proof lights have joined Phoenix Products’ offering of LED fixtures (photos below). The SLXP, SLX and DLX LED fixtures provide an instant-on light source while remaining cool to the touch. Designed to replace HID and incandescent floods, the fixtures use 39 watts and provide a 56% energy savings when compared to a 70W metal halide equivalent. The fixtures are ETL/cETL certified, conforming to UL 1598 Ordinary Locations, 1598A Marine Outside Type (Saltwater), 844 Hazardous Locations (T6 [85C]), CSA and NEMA 4X, allowing them to serve in numerous applications.
