October 6, 2014 – Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) has selected Brian Bentz, president and CEO of PowerStream Inc., as the winner of its Leader of the Year award for “his outstanding leadership and vision in the workplace, and his exemplary commitment in developing an organizational culture that engages and motivates employees”.

“He enables the PowerStream workforce through a spirit of collaboration, trust, and recognition of individual and team contributions, and has implemented innovative people strategies which are instrumental in developing organizational excellence and improved organizational productivity,” noted the association.

The Awards of Excellence Breakfast & HR Forum on October 24 will recognize Bentz’s achievements, as well as announce the winners of four other award categories:

• Emerging Leader;
• Innovation in HR Practices – Educational or Training Institution;
• Innovation in HR Practices – Employer; and
• Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Champion.

Following the breakfast, the HR Forum will give attendees an opportunity to hear about recruitment and a multigenerational workforce, as well as a chance to provide input to the day’s discussions.
