Prestige Telecom says it has entered into a three-year agreement with Telus for its Fleet Complete service suite that will enable, Prestige believes, more effective management of its vehicle fleet (which consists of about 160 units nationwide).

“In keeping with our corporate strategy of continuously improving our
field management tools and processes to better control costs, Prestige
has just completed a field trial of the Telus Fleet Complete system,”
said Pierre Yves Methot, Prestige chair and CEO. “The results of this
trial and the feedback received were very positive, and led to our
recent decision to roll out this system across our entire vehicle
fleet.”

The Telus GPS-based Fleet Complete service will be an invaluable tool
for Prestige, says the company, as it will “greatly improve employee
safety and provide Prestige with accurate daily reporting on the
operational metrics that are required to optimize fleet utilization”.

“Based on information gathered during the trial—and considering the
results other companies have realized using GPS-based fleet management
systems—we can confidently project that this initiative will generate
significant operating cost savings,” added Methot.
