The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is notifying the public that Jeckson Electric Co. Ltd. has announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product: RF wireless remote On/Off switch units, which involves about 160,000 units in Canada.

In some cases, the plug-in remote control receiver can overheat, posing a
fire hazard. In fact, there has been one case of fire resulting in
property damage. In Canada and the States, Dimplex has received about
5000 reports of the plug-in wall units overheating.
