Product Manager – Commercial HWP

The above opportunity is currently available within the Wiring Products (HWP) Platform reporting to the National Marketing Manager – HWP.
 

Required is an individual who will
develop and execute marketing strategies and action plans to achieve
marketing and financial objectives for the Commercial Wiring product
segment. The successful candidate will operate with appreciable latitude
for unreviewed action or decision, have extensive exposure to
confidential information, and maintain an extensive network of internal
and external contacts.

 
Duties will include: recommending
and implementing approved pricing programs, advertising and sales
promotion strategies; maintaining price and margin objectives for all
Commercial products; preparing DNC and Trade Price Lists; determining
suitability of new core products; providing input for Stage A product
proposals; evaluating Canadian market opportunities and determining
potential sales of new/existing products; assisting US personnel with
Canadian requirements for catalogues, product literature and related
materials; developing target market strategies; assisting Technical
Support area; developing and maintaining a competitive profile matrix;
compiling and updating statistical information regarding market size and
share; monitoring key project quotation activity and pricing policies;
providing sales forecasts for new products, promotions, and other goals.
The incumbent will also maintain safety and good housekeeping standards
and perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
1.
Post-secondary degree or equivalent in business, marketing, commerce, or
related areas.

2. Minimum five years progressively
responsible sales or marketing experience, preferably in electrical
industry.

3. Superior oral and written
communication skills.

4. Experience in sales forecasting,
pricing, strategies, advertising, and design of product literature.

5. Familiarity
with electrical distribution and consumer channels.

6. Knowledge of
commercial, industrial, contractor, institutional, and D.I.Y. markets.

7.
Above-average computer skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Access and Project an asset.
