Canadian Tire Corp. has announced a voluntary recall of the Yardworks 950W Generator, and has determined that these generators may experience fuel leaks. By February 25, 2011, Canadian Tire had received one report of the unit catching fire. No injuries or property damages have been reported.

Approximately 9000 units were sold across Canada. The product was first introduced in 2006 and was discontinued in July 2008.

Consumers are asked to discontinue use of these generators and return their unit to any Canadian Tire store with proof of purchase for reimbursement.
