April 24, 2018 — The MSA Altair Grid is a real-time remote monitoring service for portable gas detection.

Using the MSA Altair Connect app, compatible with Altair 4XR and Altair 5X gas detectors, the Altair Grid provides simultaneous location mapping for individual workers using a secure web-based virtual control room.

Remote-monitoring capabilities are expanded via wireless detection and cloud-hosted data storage. Tools such as real-time detection, real-time analysis, and seamless alert notification allow operators to assess and avoid high-risk situations, says MSA. The grid can monitor and interact with all connected detectors and allows users to search, review, update and download historical incident information.
