Electrolab warns of falls in “Stairways and Ladders: A Safe Step” program

May 4, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur

May 4, 2016 – Workplace safety trainer Electrolab tackles slips and falls in its latest DVD release: “Stairways and Ladders: A Safe Step”. This program deals specifically with how to prevent slips and falls by discussing how to use, place, maintain and climb both stairs and ladders safely.

“This may sound obvious, but how many of us lose our balance or trip because we weren’t paying attention or were in a hurry to get the job done? It happens to all of us and this new video is a great reminder to take one step at a time to avoid a potentially serious injury due to a fall,” the company says.

According to the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), more than 42,000 Canadians are injured in work-related falls each year.

“Stairways and Ladders: A Safe Step” is available in DVD and streaming media formats. Additional information or a free preview is available by calling Electrolab Training Systems at 800-267-7482 or safety@electrolab.ca.
