July 5, 2016 - Hubbell Outdoor Lighting is calling its new mini decorative LED bullet the MBUL. It’s a compact floodlight capable of replacing 50W to 70W HID, 100W incandescent or 84W CFL luminaries. It comes with options of a 7-in. stake with 8-in. SO cord or 1/2-in. 14 NPT threaded mounting box for box or pipe mounting.
July 4, 2016 - HyLite LED Lighting says its plug-in LED lamp for down lighting applications, the VL, delivers 116 lumens per watt with a 120-degree beam angle. At 12W, the VL replaces up to a 42W CFL, reducing energy consumption by up to 71%, according to HyLite.
June 29, 2016 - Enlighted’s fourth generation family of its Intelligent Lighting Control sensors includes four different sensors, which use wireless networking to connect to each other and send data back to Enlighted’s cloud infrastructure. The sensors also incorporate a Bluetooth 4.x radio, which can advertise presence (supporting both Apple iBeacon and Google EddyStone protocols), and receive Bluetooth data from other devices.
June 27, 2016 - Intermatic Incorporated has new IOS-DOV-DT occupancy and vacancy sensors: in-wall and ceiling-mount products that use dual (PIR/Ultrasonic) technologies to monitor “virtually any area within a building, helping contractors and specifiers achieve integrated lighting strategies in retrofit or new construction project.”
June 24, 2016 - The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published NEMA LSD 74-2016 Considerations of Field LED Driver Replacement. This new white paper discusses issues related to the field replacement of drivers in LED lighting fixtures, and how several aspects must be considered to ensure that the replacement driver will function the same as the original driver.
June 21, 2016 - Utilizing a 38W LED source, this panel from ABBLighting mimics the natural Kelvin changes of the sun throughout the day in a typical 2-in. x 2-in. troffer. With the wireless adjustable colour temperature driver, the kit can be controlled by a remote control, smartphone or tablet using an app or by the wall switch. The adjustable colour temperature range is 2700-6500K and it has a CRI of more than 80.
