November 16, 2015 - Greenlee has launched what it claims is an “industry-first” ergonomics laboratory, the Greenlee ErgoLab. The Rockford, Ill.-based laboratory offers equipment to identify a tool’s ergonomic value through scientific testing, measurement and analysis, which in turn will help utility and electrical tools users, along with purchasing officers and decision makers determine the best tools to utilize on the jobsite, Greenlee notes.

October 30, 2015 - FLIR Systems says it has released the T1K series of HD thermal inspection cameras with “an intuitive yet simple hybrid-touch” user interface.
October 27, 2015 - The new Hilti multidetector PS 50 brings new depth to area scanning, according to the company. The self-calibrating tool uses pulsed radar technology to detect a variety of concealed objects: ferrous and non-ferrous, wood or plastic and electrical conduits at depths up to 5-7/8 in. in concrete. Two additional sensors allow for the classification of those objects and the detection of live wire, Hilti adds.
