March 29, 2016 - GammaTech Computer Corp. says it has improved its Durabook R11 rugged tablet, based on user requests. The R11 is now available with an expanded battery, keyboard folio and also features an 11.6-in. widescreen display and certification to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD- 461F, ANSI ISA Standard 12.12.01, and IP65 specifications.
March 28, 2016 - Outdoor enclosure specialist Intertec has launched a new range of explosion-proof cabinets to protect field instrumentation operating in hazardous areas. Available in a range of standard sizes, as well as in custom shapes up to walk-in shelter size, the cabinets are certified for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. Intertec says they are ideal for housing forward-placed analyzer equipment in industrial process facilities such as petrochemical/oil refineries and fertilizer production/storage plants, and also provide the possibility to install non-Ex rated analyzers and instrumentation inside Zone 1 or 2 classified environments.

February 24, 2016 - Greenlee Textron has developed a new RXM reel stand that it says delivers improved set-up time, mobility and capacity while safely dispensing spools of cable during a pull. A pair of these stands (two are required for complete setup) can accommodate spools weighing up to 6000 lb, Greenlee says.
