July 19, 2019 – Ford of Canada’s F-Series has been the top-selling pickup truck in the country for 53 years—and even the top-selling vehicle overall for the past nine years. Over the past few generations of the series, Ford has invested in EcoBoost turbocharged engines when the norm was powerful V-8s, military-grade aluminum bodies when the norm was steel and a plethora of safety and convenience features usually only seen on luxury vehicles. And for the 2018 and now 2019 model years, a 3-L Power Stroke V-6 diesel engine was added to the light-duty F-150 truck.
June 7, 2019 – Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Canada’s fleet operations division recently made the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) stop of its 2019 spring launch tour—which has also made stops in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton—at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton, Ont.
May 24, 2019 - When Mercedes-Benz entered the Canadian market with the second-generation Sprinter in 2010 (it was previously sold here as a Dodge), the full-size cargo van market was vastly different than it is today. Ford was selling the E-Series, Nissan had not yet launched the NV in Canada and the Ram ProMaster was being sold in Europe as the Fiat Ducato.
April 25, 2019 – Tuffy Security Products’ Model 354 is a  console insert for 2019 Dodge Ram pickup trucks, designed to be concealed under the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM’s) sliding tray, except versions with cup holders that have lids.
March 6, 2019 – Weather Guard has introduced what it calls the industry’s first truck box with integrated lighting, to increase visibility of tool storage for electrical contractors and other professionals.
March 4, 2019 – When Dodge originally introduced the Ram brand, it was one of the first pickup trucks to feature a ‘semi’ style front end—but that is now the norm, with other 2019 trucks featuring massive grilles, too. So, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has reinvented both the front end and the grille for its 2019 model year on the Ram 1500.
February 20, 2019 - For years, when a standard pickup truck was sold as an off-road model, that mainly meant some cosmetic changes, rugged tires and the like. Fortunately, for those who actually need to take their work vehicles off-road, that is no longer the case. Most OEMs that produce trucks are now offering dedicated off-road models—and General Motors (GM) is no exception.
February 5, 2019 – LoadMaster, a subsidiary of LTA Manufacturing, has expanded its product line with two new in-bed cargo management systems for work trucks, including full-extension (FE) and dual-slide (DS) models.
January 28, 2019 - Ranger Design’s new Max Step attaches to a cargo van’s frame in the back, so as to facilitate access for electrical contractors and other tradespeople to the cargo space or roof rack.
December 21, 2018 - Mercedes-Benz Vans Canada recently held a fleet event at its training academy in Mississauga, Ont., for the Canadian debut of its 2019 Sprinter van, which it promotes as ‘built for electricians.’
December 12, 2018 - Not long ago, pickup trucks and vans were seen only as dedicated work trucks. Those days are long gone, as with the rise of ‘crossovers’ and SUVs, many consumers want bigger vehicles. Now, for many, a pickup truck is simply ‘an SUV with a truck bed.’
September 19, 2018 — Terex Utilities’ A330 and A650 auger drills feature enhancements to the control system and remote diagnostics support for troubleshooting.
July 12, 2018 — Eaton is addressing increasing demand for high-voltage electrified vehicle technologies with the creation of its new eMobility business.
June 5, 2018 — Terex Utilities recently launched the Optima Series of enhanced aerial devices used for construction and maintenance of distribution lines.
May 26, 2018 - Several years ago, Paul Buller of Calgary got to thinking about rooftop cargo solutions, like dropdown ladder racks, and the result is RazerLift.
