May 7, 2020 – Dewalt is recalling certain laser distance measurers because they may operate at a higher power level than their markings indicate, posing a risk of operator misuse and injury.

The affected laser distance measures—DW0165, DWO165s and DWO0330s—were manufactured in China between Week 19 of 2018 and Week 43 of 2019.

Only the models listed above that are labelled as Class 2 and have those specific date codes are affected.

Location of laser class and date of manufacture.

Health Canada reports roughly 1116 units of the affected products were sold in Canada from May 2018 to July 2019. The agency has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
