October 18, 2012 – The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is notifying the public that Princess Auto has announced a voluntary recall of the 50 ft. 14/3 String light (#8196628). Consumers are advised to stop using recalled products immediately.

It has been determined that the identified products are not authorized to bear the UL mark. At this time, no incidents or injuries have been reported.

The affected units were distributed from 2010-2011, with approximately 607 units sold in Ontario, and 2691 units sold in total in Canada. The units were sold by Princess Auto.

Description/Models: 14 Gauge 3 Wire SJTW String light. 50 ft. long cord with 5 plastic cages. Princess Auto part number 8196628 or Manufacturing number MQ6076, DL999-5-14/3.
