June 16, 2016 – Chrysler has issued a recall on its 2015 Ram Promaster vans as a defect may cause the transmission pump rotor to seize or break, resulting in a loss of transmission pressure.

“This could result in a loss of motive power, which may increase the risk of a crash,” the company reported.

To correct the issue, dealers have been instructed to replace the transmission pump assembly.
