RECALL: 2017 International RE, 9900I, LoneStar & PayStar truck models

June 20, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur

June 20, 2016 – Navistar International has issued a recall on certain models of its International truck, due to a problem with the Engine Control Module (ECM).

Navistar says about 159 units are affected, including the RE, 9900I, LoneStar and PayStar models—all from 2017.

The ECM may develop an internal electrical short circuit that could blow a fuse in the ECM’s electrical supply circuit, Navistar reported. This could cause the engine to stall without warning and prevent the vehicle from being restarted.

Dealers have been instructed to replace the ECM.
