September 19, 2017 – The Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) says it is proud to announce its goal of harmonizing training for two-thirds of Red Seal apprentices by 2017 was met.

“The CCDA would like to commend the strong collaboration between industry, training stakeholders and apprenticeship authorities who make the harmonization of apprenticeship training possible,” writes the council.

The harmonization of Construction Electrician and Industrial Electrician training has been implemented in most jurisdictions this month (September 2017). The harmonization of Powerline Technician is planned for implementation by September 2020.
