August 11, 2016 – After being granted double certification per IEC62852/UL6703 standards and being in production since May 2015, Canadian Solar’s T4 field-installable PV connector portfolio has hit the North American market.

The connector is manufactured by Tlian, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar established in December 2014. It is certified for a UL 1500V DC system voltage and has an IP68 rating for highest ingress protection for water/humidity, Canadian Solar says. In addition, the new connector portfolio supports an operating temperature range of -40 C to 90 C, according to the company.
