December 29, 2010 | By Alyssa Dalton

Ridgid, a manufacturer of tools and equipment for the professional trades, has included three new hand-held diagnostic tools to its existing diagnostic line: the micro LM-100 laser distance meter, the micro CD-100 combustible gas detector and the micro IR-100 non-contact infrared thermometer.

“At Ridgid, we are constantly looking to deliver new and innovative products to our customers, the professional tradesman. Our new rugged, hand-held diagnostic devices are the first in a series of products that Ridgid is launching to help the professional tradesman save time and money on any jobsite,” said Chris Lane, product manager, Ridgid

The laser distance meter provides distance readings up to 164 feet for direct and indirect measurements. The meter features a LCD display and displays the last three measurements and stores the last 20 measurements.

The gas detector provides readings to identify the presence of combustible gases, and is designed to detect methane, propane, butane, ethanol, ammonia, hydrogen and other combustible gases.

The thermometer provides surface temperature readings when the trigger is squeezed and the lasers spotlight the surface being measured.

All three hand-held tools run on alkaline batteries and come with a Ridgid warranty.
