September 13, 2013 – The newly redesigned Universal Light from Rittal is a made-for-North America version, sporting both UL recognition and CSA certification.

The 18W CFL tube offers as much light output, says the company, as the previous 26W tube. The tube is protected by a clear plastic lens, keeping it safe from inadvertent bumps or impact. The integrated motion sensor ensures the light turns On when needed, and Off when the enclosure door is closed. The Universal Light also has a manual switch, allowing users to override the motion sensor.

The light includes mounting clips for integration into Rittal’s TS8 modular enclosures or its SE8 non-modular freestanding enclosures. Mounting brackets sold as accessories allow you to install the fixtures into any Rittal wallmount enclosure.
