Robotics and augmented humans… they’re here, right now! – EBPowerCon 2021

June 11, 2021 | By Anthony Capkun

June 11, 2021 – Construction robots and worker augmentation are no longer a thing of the future… they are here now! Hilti recently unveiled its Jaibot semi-automated construction robot, which is designed for overhead drilling applications (primarily in mechanical, electrical, plumbing applications) as well as the wearable exoskeleton EXO-O1, which is worn by the user to provide relief for physically demanding tasks, also overhead.

Eric Hollister, senior director of Marketing for Hilti North America (Electric Tools and Accessories) joins EBPowerCon 2021 to discuss the evolution of these robotics and augmentations for the jobsite, and share his opinions on where they may lead us tomorrow.

The EBPowerCon Cybershow & Expo was launched by the team at Electrical Business Magazine for Canada’s professional electrical community—contractors, engineers, maintenance, and related stakeholders—with the goal of shedding light on trends and technologies so as to empower them with knowledge and insight into markets and opportunities.
