Rockford’s Sensing-Saf-Start prevents accidental machine restart

February 7, 2023 | By Anthony Capkun

February 7, 2023 – In the event of a power interruption, Rockford Systems’ Sensing-Saf-Start automatically disconnects power to machinery to prevent it from restarting after power has been restored. The machine will only restart after the operator presses the Reset button.

Sensing-Saf-Start is designed for quick, simple retrofit, helping bring older machines “into alignment with current safety regulations and standards”, and may spare owners the expense of purchasing a new machine. The device can be installed on numerous machines that are driven by small motors operating on 120VAC, and are connected to a power by means of 14-ga, 3-wire flexible cord.

Rockford says Sensing-Saf-Start complies with OSHA requirements, the Canadian Electrical Code, and NFPA 79 and ANSI B11 series electrical standards.
