RX1200 controller for electric de-icing applications

February 8, 2018 — Danfoss has released the RX1200 controller for electric de-icing applications.

Designed to complement Danfoss RX de-icing cables for roof and gutter applications, the company says the controller helps extend the life of an outdoor electric heating system and prevent damage and leaks.

The RX1200 can sense moisture and temperature conditions, allowing it to activate or de-activate the cables as needed. Danfoss says this reduces energy consumption by up to 75% compared to a controller that measures temperature alone.
