June 12, 2019 – Amazon, Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have issued a joint recall for AmazonBasics 1,500-W ceramic space heaters that can overheat, posing a burn and fire hazard, potentially leading to injury or property damage.
June 7, 2019 – Apple, Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have jointly recalled three-prong AC wall plug adapters—included in Apple’s ‘world travel adapter kit’—that can break, posing a risk of electric shock if exposed metal parts are touched.
April 15, 2019 – Honda Canada has recalled its EU2200i portable generator, as its manual fuel valve can leak gasoline, posing a fire and burn hazard.
April 11, 2019 – Health Canada has announced recalls for a variety of electrical heaters due to fire hazards, including products manufactured by Ouellet (examples pictured), Electrimart, Global Commander, Stelpro Design, Uniwatt, Chromalox, Centurion, Electromode, Westcan and Dimplex.
March 22, 2019 – Legrand North America has issued a recall for a 15-A 125-V white indoor duplex wall outlet that was sold exclusively at Lowe’s retail stores across Canada from February 2018 to January 2019.
February 27, 2019 – CSA Group has notified the public of a counterfeit version of its certification mark appearing on various models of General International Manufacturing’s magnetic safety switches (examples pictured).
July 13, 2018 — ITW Canada and Health Canada recently issued a recall for Red Head Trubolt+ wedge anchors used for concrete anchoring.
July 6, 2018 — Eaton recently issued a recall for certain Eaton heavy duty 30A and 60A safety switches intended for use in heavy commercial, utility and industrial applications.
June 13, 2018 — GE Lighting and the U.S. CPSC have issued a recall for the Cool White Universal T8/T12 LED two pack tube lamps.
April 30, 2018 — Honeywell, Health Canada and the U.S. CPSC have issued a joint recall for Honeywell type 1 Fibre-Metal E2 and North Peak A79 hard hats.
April 17, 2018 - Schneider Electric is voluntarily recalling Square D general duty 30A and 60A, 120V/240V, 2-phase and 3-phase NEMA 3R safety switches because the power can stay on when the handle is in the OFF position, posing a shock or electrocution hazard.
March 23, 2018 — eHeat Inc. has issued a recall for its Envi high-efficiency electric panel heaters, in conjunction with Health Canada and the U.S. CPSC.
March 23, 2018 — Health Canada, the U.S. CPSC and Kidde have issued a joint recall for the Kidde dual-sensor (photoelectric and ionization) smoke alarms — models PI2010CA and PI9010CA.
