June 7, 2017 - In a joint recall with Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Nidec Motor Corp. is recalling certain variable-speed swimming pool motors with a programmable user interface on the top because the pump control cover may not be properly grounded, posing an electrical shock hazard.
June 7, 2017 - Lithonia Lighting (a division of Acuity Brands Lighting Inc.) has received six (6) reports of the lens used on the LBL4W LED fixture manufactured between February 2016 and March 2017 detaching from the fixture and becoming loose or falling.
May 29, 2017 - FLIR Commercial Systems Inc. is recalling certain models of Extech digital clamp meters that may fail to give an accurate voltage reading, resulting in the operator falsely believing the electrical power is low or off, posing an electrocution hazard.
May 1, 2017 - Rona Inc. is voluntarily recalling Uberhaus brand ceiling fans bearing model number SW52-SN-R5W1 (or product number 89325003), Health Canada has announced, due to a manufacturing defect that could lead to a fire.
April 20, 2017 - Bosch Solar Services is replacing all roof-mounted Bosch c-Si 60 NA30119 solar modules currently installed in Canada and the U.S. as part of a voluntary recall.
March 28, 2017 - SolarWorld is recalling thousands of connectors sold with its solar panels due to an electrical shock hazard. The remedy is replacement.
March 15, 2017 - Transport Canada has announced an expansion on a previous recall from Chrysler on its 2007 Sprinter vehicles due to airbag deployment concerns.
March 6, 2017 - Philips Lighting has expanded the recall of its metal halide lamps as the outer bulbs can shatter, resulting in hot internal pieces of glass falling from the lamps, posing fire and laceration hazards.
March 2, 2017 - Health Canada has followed Interk’s warning and issued a recall for DVI Lighting’s semi-flush mounted medium base luminaires intended for use with maximum two 100W “Type A” lightbulbs.
February 9, 2017 - Health Canada has further expanded a recall (which commenced back in January 2011) involving certain line-voltage thermostats that may overheat, emit smoke and damage the wall, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
January 20, 2017 - Big Game International (BGI) is recalling Shoreline Marine liquid electrical tape with model number SL57589 and UPC code 013893657589 after Health Canada's inspection program determined the products do not have proper hazard labelling required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA).
January 17, 2017 - Transport Canada is notifying the public of a recall on Altec Industries AA755 and AN650 booms due to safety concerns.
January 14, 2017 - Honda Canada is recalling the owner’s manual provided with certain Honda EU2000iT1 inverter-type 1600W generators because of missing pages in the French-language section.
November 10, 2016 - In a joint recall with the U.S. CPSC, Kidde is recalling hard-wired NightHawk talking combo smoke/CO alarms (KN-COSM-IBCA and KN-COSM-ICA) manufactured between June 1, 2004, and March 2011.
November 10, 2016 - In a joint recall with the U.S. CPSC, the L.D. Kichler Co. is recalling two (2) models of Kichler Krystal Ice flush-mount ceiling light fixtures due to a fire hazard.
