February 9, 2016 - IKEA has issued a recall for its "Hyby" and "Lock" ceiling lamps as they may detach and pose a fall and injury hazard to consumers.
February 5, 2016 - Health Canada reports TSC stores are recalling safety boots made by Jiayi Shoes & Plastic Co. Ltd that are not certified and may pose a safety risk.
February 1, 2016 - Ford has issued a recall for its 2016 E450 cutaway chassis cab truck model. The company says the integrated trailer brake controller, during tow operation, may not actuate the trailer brakes when the driver depresses the brake pedal. This applies to the vehicles equipped with 6.8L engines and optional trailer brake controllers.
February 1, 2016 - California-based distributor Lunera Lighting has recalled the Helen 13W GX23 LED lamps with date codes ranging from 1525 to 1552 as Health Canada reports that the lamps can overheat, causing the lens to dislodge, posing fire, burn and electric shock hazards.
January 26, 2016 - Ford has recalled its Ranger truck models from the year 2004 due to safety concerns over the airbags, Transport Canada reports.
December 18, 2015 (updated May 4, 2016) - Thanks to the U.S. CPSC for letting us know Casablanca Fan Company (Memphis, Tenn.) is voluntarily recalling a number of ceiling fans in which the fan motor and attached blades can separate from the adapter when operating in reverse updraft mode, causing the fan motor and blades to fall, posing an injury hazard.
December 17, 2015 - Lithonia Lighting has issued a recall for its JHBL LED light fixtures, citing that the metal hub used to mount the fixtures to the ceiling can break and allow the fixture to fall unexpectedly, posing a risk of injury from impact.
December 16, 2015 - TCP has recalled Technical Consumer Products and Great Value LED 14W LED wet location PAR38 lamps due to electrical shock hazard.
October 16, 2015 - General Motors has issued a recall of its 2014 Sierra and Silverado trucks due to a defect in the ignition lock actuator, Transport Canada reports.
August 31, 2015 - Chrysler has issued a recall for the Dodge 2007 Sprinter vehicles due to concerns with the airbag.
August 20, 2015 - The Electrical Safety Authority is notifying the public that Cordelia Lighting has announced a voluntary corrective action program for its commercial dual light emergency fixture, model HB9013P.
July 30, 2015 - Daimler Trucks has issued a recall on certain vehicles equipped with Cummins Westport ISL-G engines, according to Transport Canada.
June 9, 2015 - Cree has issued a recall involving 48-in. LED replacement lamps for certain 25W fixtures, which use fluorescent T8 lamps, and are available in two colours: cool white and soft white. Electrical arcing may cause the lamp to overheat and melt, posing a burn hazard, the company noted.
May 25, 2015 - Vivint has issued a recall for dimming switch modules due to incorrectly installed wiring that poses a shock hazard.
April 16, 2015 - Health Canada has published an expanded recall of the one announced January 2011 involving certain line-voltage thermostats that may overheat, emit smoke and damage the wall, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
