November 30, 2018 – Storage Battery Systems (SBS) has opened Battery Academy, a new training program and facility for professionals in the utility and telecommunications industries.

The courses, which began this month, include stationary battery system installation, maintenance and testing, along with sizing and design considerations. The academy will also offer webinars on battery test equipment, code compliance, data and management.

Courses for both beginners and experienced technicians will follow industry-accepted standards and best practices recommended by the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE). Students will learn on actual installed equipment (example pictured), not simulators.
