October 22, 2011 – Schneider Electric’s EVlink outdoor electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are the newest addition to Schneider’s EVlink portfolio, which consists of a line of residential and commercial EV charging solutions. Key features of the outdoor charging stations include: standards compliance; ground fault monitoring and protection; dual charging option (two charging circuits integrated into one pedestal); and availability in wall or pedestal mounts. Authentication using a RFID card scan ensures that only approved users can access the charging station. Schneider Electric new EcoXpert training and certification program for electrical contractors aims to help them to expand their business and increase sales opportunities through renewable and energy efficient products, such as EVlink charging stations. The program will assist contractors in advising, selling and installing a range of EV solutions across commercial, industrial and residential applications. EVlink Level II basic outdoor EV chargers are available today; additional residential and commercial Level II and III will be unveiled soon.
