Schneider Electric experts to speak at Reliability and Maintainability Symposium

Schneider Electric has confirmed that its Renewable Energies Business experts Dr. Zhiqiang Janet Ma, senior quality assurance engineer, and Spyros Thomas, director of corporate quality, will speak at the upcoming Reliability and Maintainability Symposium (RAMS) on January 26.

“Schneider Electric is known for stringent quality controls, relentlessly improving our business process excellence tools and methodologies,” said Ted Campbell, senior VP, Renewable Energies Business. “I’m proud that Spyros Thomas and Janet Ma, who are key players in that quality control process, will be presenting at one of the premiere events on engineering reliability and maintainability.”

Ma and Thomas will present during Session 12D – Reliability Models of Deployed Systems. Their focus will be on reliability and maintainability in photovoltaic inverter design, with an emphasis on worst-case analysis, component sizing and useful life analysis.

Now in its 57th year, RAMS is an annual gathering of product assurance disciplines providing training and tutorials, as well as the latest technical practices, procedures and results. This year’s event will take place from January 24-27 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Dr. Zhiqiang Janet Ma – senior Quality Assurance Engineer with Schneider Electric Renewable Energies Business. She holds a Ph.D. in electrical and electronics engineering and taught at Kanazawa University (Japan) and Central South University (China). She is also a senior IEEE member and a professional engineer in British Columbia and Ontario.

Spyros Thomas – director of corporate quality for Schneider Electric Renewable Energies Business. He holds a bachelor of electrical engineering and a Master’s degree in electrical distribution as well as an MBA, and has obtained the BB in Six Sigma.
