October 26, 2021 By Anthony Capkun
October 26, 2021 – Schneider Electric is once again looking for game changers from around the world for the latest iteration of its Go Green global student competition.
“Through Schneider Go Green, we look for empowered and passionate students with bold and sustainable ideas,” said Charise Le, Schneider Electric. “We believe access to energy is a basic human right, and this global competition provides new ways to do that.”
In collaboration with software partner, AVEVA, Schneider’s Go Green student competition aims to uncover “the latest bold ideas in digital and sustainable innovation”.
Go Green provides students with the chance to present their ideas to industry leaders and receive mentorship from experts and professionals, along with considerations for job opportunities and the chance of a winning prize worth up to 10,000 EUR.
“Challenge yourself, challenge us and bring your best sustainability ideas to the Go Green 2022 competition,” said AVEVA’s Lisa Johnston. “Together, let’s build the pathway to more sustainable industries.”
The 2021 competition saw a record number of 25,000 young innovators from more than 3000 universities in 130 countries. Schneider Electric hopes this year’s competition will attract even more interest, thanks to the following five specific topics: Access to Energy, Homes of the Future, Supply Chain of the Future, Grids of the Future, and De[coding] the Future.
The competition is open to university students who are 18 years of age or older at the time of submitting the initial application, and are currently registered and enrolled as full-time students in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Science, or Innovation.
This year, all participating teams of 2-4 four students are expected to identify as gender diverse. In North America, the deadline for submissions is November 30, 2021.
