July 26, 2022 – Schneider Electric announced it has been named Canada’s top international corporate citizen (2022) by Corporate Knights for its “actions and performance in environmental, social and governance”.

“This recognition from Corporate Knights provides a trusted seal of sustainability excellence, and salutes the shifts we’re making in Canada to lead the sustainable economy,” said Adrian Thomas, country president, Canada, Schneider Electric.

Out of 177 large subsidiary companies operating in Canada, Schneider Electric ranked number one overall, according to Corporate Knights’ Sustainability Ratings, which are based on 24 key performance indicators covering environmental and social impacts, says the company.

Schneider Electric was an early adopter of environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations, explains the company, and continues to ramp up its sustainability commitments. The latest acceleration of its sustainability strategy was announced in January 2022, affirming six long-term commitments and 11 concrete targets, deliverable by 2025.
