Schneider Electric, Simark Controls close TRSS agreement

April 8, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

April 8, 2015 – Simark Controls Ltd., a company of SFC Energy AG, can now sell and service Schneider Electric’s Telemetry and Remote SCADA solutions (TRSS) after both companies entered into a sales and service business partner agreement.

The partnership agreement allows Simark to sell and service the TRSS line in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, as well as in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Product lines include SCADAPack, RealFLO, RealLIFT, 4000 Series Transmitters, Trio Radios, and Accutech Sensors. This expands Simark’s existing offering of Schneider Electric Foxboro Field Devices.

Simark and SFC Energy say they expect “significant synergies” to come from this extension of the Simark product portfolio as TRSS require reliable off-grid power and for this application Simark offers a range of power supply solutions based on SFC Energy’s EFOY Pro fuel cells.

“Our business relationship with Simark Controls has reached new strengths and we are excited to have this agreement in place,” said Elias Panasuik, Schneider Electric Canada’s sales manager for the west. “Simark Controls already offers our Foxboro Measurement and Instrumentation products. The TRSS product portfolio will expand this offering. Simark Controls’ proven track records of delivering world class customer support service and solutions will position us closer to our end users.”

TRSS enable operators to monitor and control field equipment and operations across widely dispersed infrastructures, said Schneider Electric. Applications range from simple reservoir level measurement in the water and waste water industries, to well pad optimization and other production-based processes in the oil and gas industry.
