The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is calling for nominations for its 2011 Young Canadian Engineering Professional of the Year Award, which the society launched at its inaugural Canadian Summit in 2009. The award recognizes a young cable telecom engineering professional in Canada making a mark on the industry.

The 2011 award will be presented during the 2011 SCTE Canadian Summit’s
luncheon on March 8 (the summit is set for March 8-9 in Toronto).

Individuals will be nominated for the award based upon their outstanding
technical contributions, achievements and leadership in advancing the
cable telecom industry. Nominees must be a Canadian resident, an SCTE
member and under the age of 35 as of December 31, 2010.
