SCTE seeks technical sessions for 2011 Canadian Summit

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is seeking proposals for technical sessions that will be conducted during its 2011 Canadian Summit, scheduled for March 8-9 in Toronto, Ont.

Specific to the Canadian cable telecom market, the focus of the annual
SCTE Canadian Summit is to study the impact of integrating new
technologies into existing cable infrastructures. SCTE says delegates
will gain an understanding of the opportunities and the pitfalls of
technology deployments—all to maximize customer satisfaction and gain
operational efficiencies.

Recommended topics include:
• IP video migration and architecture
• business services
• Residential broadband and networking update
• Status of high-resolution video
