Several leadership changes at Prysmian North America

February 5, 2021 – Prysmian recently announced several leadership changes involving Prysmian Group North America (PGNA).

Massimo Battaini, CEO of PGNA, and Giacomo Sofia, COO of PGNA, will move to roles with global responsibility (with continued involvement in the region).

Battaini will transition to COO for the global group, while Sofia moves to Business Operations for the global group, and will take over the responsibilities of Andrea Pirondini.

Pirondini, meantime, will become CEO of PGNA. According to Prysmian, he was a key player in the decision to acquire General Cable in 2018.

Paul Furtado will become head of Business Operations for PGNA, taking over the responsibilities held by Sofia. Saskia Veerkamp will replace Fabio Bocchio as chief financial officer of PGNA, and Patrick Jacobi will become the head of Telecom.
