Siemens’ 2015 edition of 600V meter centre “made in Canada, for Canada”

January 19, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur

January 19, 2016 – One of Siemens’ latest product releases is the 600V meter centre, which was designed in Canada, Siemens says, using feedback from Canadian contractors. The Siemens team extended an invitation to electrical contractors across Canada who are experienced with 600V meter centres and hosted a workshop held at the Siemens Drummondville, Que. plant to review preliminary design/prototype and specific regional customer needs.

Siemens launched its 600V meter centre product line on September 1, 2015 to the Canadian marketplace, offering a solution for restricted space projects. It features a four-meter socket configuration allowing up to 200A sub-service capacity. It is also designed for cold metering: the sub service breakers are connected on the line side of the meter sockets, Siemens explains, protecting the meter and all electrical equipment fed.
