October 18, 2012 – Siemens Infrastructure & Cities and Accenture say they will work together to provide smart metering solutions to help utility companies improve the automation, planning, monitoring and diagnosis of their power supply grid infrastructures. They will specifically collaborate on advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and meter data management solutions (MDM), which are designed to provide more information on grid activity and help increase operational efficiencies. Accenture Smart Grid Services will provide consulting, systems integration and managed services for smart meter and analytics solutions. Siemens will leverage its eMeter EnergyIP meter data management platform and Analytics Foundation and corresponding professional services.
