Sky Vertical works to deliver prototype wind turbine next month

January 27, 2014  By  Alyssa Dalton

January 27, 2014 – Sky Harvest Energy has announced its subsidiary, Sky Vertical Technologies, has begun assembling its prototype vertical axis wind turbine with an expected delivery date of February.

Located at Northern Centre for Advanced Technologies (NORCAT) in Sudbury, Ont., Sky Vertical said its new location has greatly accelerated the prototyping process, noted the company.

“Having the NORCAT support system has allowed our team to focus on the prototyping process. Our technology will benefit greatly from this relationship,” said Kyle Loney, president and CEO of Sky Vertical.

“With any start-up company, overhead is of great concern. However, with our development team and the facilities we have at NORCAT, we are able to keep our overhead to a minimum without sacrificing proficiency or expertise,” he added.
