SMA adds 30-48 kW Sunny Tower configurations

September 7, 2011 – SMA has expanded the capacity of its Sunny Tower inverter system to include 30 through 48 kW configurations. With the Sunny Tower, solar professionals can now install any combination of SMA Sunny Boy 5000-US, 6000-US, 7000-US and 8000-US inverters to create a custom power output based on the overall PV system design, it says. The Sunny Tower comes prewired for three-phase utility interconnection, and has an integrated load-break-rated lockable AC/DC disconnect switch and fused-series string combiner.
