SolarWorld publishes Energy for You and Me booklet
September 6, 2011 | By Anthony Capkun
September 6, 2011 – SolarWorld, a manufacturer of solar panels, has published a free-to-download booklet that explains solar energy. It is intended primarily for Grade 8-12 schoolteachers to use in their classrooms. Available from the company’s website, “Energy for You and Me” uses colour photography, illustrations and graphics to unlock the science and technology of how crystalline silicon solar panels are produced and deployed, and how they generate electricity. “[Schoolchildren] know fossil fuels are taking a toll on their planet,” said SolarWorld Americas president Kevin Kilkelly. “As a kind of Solar 101, our new publication will help these future leaders understand how solar energy not only will, but is currently building a clean, green future.”
