Stanley introduces TLM99s laser distance measurer

March 16, 2015 | By Renée Francoeur

March 16, 2015 – A new laser distance measurer with Bluetooth connectivity is available from Stanley.

The TLM99s—model STHT77343—syncs to smart phones and tablets via the Stanley Floor Plan app.

The measurer automatically calculates square footage, volume, and distance. With a range of 100 ft, it’s accurate to “within +/-3/32 in.”, according to Stanley. TLM99s features an addition and subtraction function and can be set to work in English or metric, or fractional or decimal modes.

The TLM99s can be used alone or with the new Floor Plan app. Using augmented reality, Floor Plan users can stand in the center of a room while viewing it through their phone or tablet. The floor plan is automatically generated by tapping on the screen to designate placement of room corners and doors.

To ensure accurate room measurements, the TLM99s Bluetooth connectivity allows users to select any dimension on the floor plan and automatically sync with the distance captured on the TLM99s.  No manual entry of dimensions is necessary.

The TLM99s will be available this spring at mass retailers, home centers, and independent retailers for approximately $149.99.
