February 3, 2012 – Steinel’s new RHB 300 wireless occupancy sensor uses passive infrared technology to sense occupancy in high bay installations. The sensor mounts directly to a high bay fixture, and can perform at mounting heights as high as 45 feet. Three pyroelectric sensors are used in the product to provide 360º coverage. The company stresses that by achieving the right coverage, users can maximize energy savings by monitoring locations with fewer sensors, while still achieving proper detection.
