Swidget Corp. has announced the appointment of Intralec Electrical Products Ltd. as sales agent representing Swidget in Ontario.

Kingston, Ont.-based Swidget is a technology company that aims to simplify the smart home experience. The Swidgetsystem is an embedded smart home device that isn’t limited to any one platform, and is expanding to include both an outlet and a switch as the base devices. The system, which features a growing number of SwidgetInserts, has the ability to function on any platform.

Intralec was launched in 1977 by two former ITE employees, Bruce Chamney and Dave Doherty. Over the last four decades, their company has grown to a full line of suppliers and 28 employees. Intralec operates out of a 17,000-sq. ft. office and warehouse in Mississauga. Its current principals are Cindy Doherty, Greg Moylett and John Hadley.
