Terex announces HyPower Hybrid System Retrofit program

September 17, 2012 | By Alyssa Dalton

September 17, 2012 – Terex Utilities says its new HyPower Hybrid System Retrofit program allows customers save fuel and reduce exhaust emissions by retrofitting their current utility truck fleet. The plug-in Power Take-Off (PTO) system uses stored energy from the system’s rechargeable batteries to power the non-propulsion functions of most utility vehicles. It recharges from the electrical grid using a standard 110V—15 AMP outlet. The program can be applied to any Terex or competitive manufacturer’s aerial devices five years old or newer.
