Terry Hunter now chairing Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network

June 27, 2014 – The Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network (CACN) has appointed of Terry Hunter from CSA Group as its new chair, serving a two-year term.

Outgoing chair Wayne Edwards (Electro-Federation Canada) will remain on CACN’s Steering Committee as a member-at-large. EFC’s Swati Patel will continue to serve in her role as Secretariat for CACN.

Terry is currently manager, anti-counterfeiting & global IP enforcement, at CSA Group. He joined CSA as head of the Global Brand Protection division, and is responsible for implementing and managing the company’s IP needs. Previously, Terry served as director of anti-piracy operations at the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA).

Terry possesses over 18 years of experience in intellectual property investigations, and has been involved in criminal and civil cases involving IP in Canada and internationally. In addition to his role at CACN, he is a member of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC), and serves as vice-chair of the Certification Industry Against Counterfeiting (CIAC).
