September 6, 2019 – The FLIR T860, the latest addition to FLIR Systems’ T-Series product line, is the company’s first thermal camera to feature on-board Inspection Route software, which allows electrical professionals to streamline industrial inspections by running a pre-planned path.

The software helps automate surveys and simplify reporting when inspecting power substation components, distribution lines, manufacturing equipment and electrical and mechanical systems. It works alongside FLIR’s Thermal Studio software to create numbered, labelled inspection routes, allowing users to record data in a logical sequence for faster troubleshooting and repairs.

The T860 features a 180-degree rotating lens to help diagnose hard-to-reach substation and distribution line components. It can also be paired with an optional six-degree telephoto thermal lens, allowing users to inspect energized targets from a safe distance, as well as measure smaller targets with greater precision.
