November 1, 2013 – Platinum Tools has debuted the Smart Remote Kit T139 for the VDV MapMaster 2.0 voice, data, and video tester, which it says helps maximize and save installers’ and technicians’ time by eliminating the need to walk back and forth to test sites.

The kit is suitable for testing, mapping and identifying Cat6, Cat5e, Cat5, Cat4 and Cat3 cables for up to eight drops/locations simultaneously. Meanwhile, the snap-lock clear case protects and alerts users if a remote is missing.
