“The recipient of the Leader of the Year Award is an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to their organization within the Canadian electricity industry through visionary people management strategies and leadership,” said Michelle Branigan, CEO, EHRC.
“The many accolades shared by his colleagues attest to the fact that he is both an inspiration and a champion of strategic, innovative and significant contributions to human resources best practices,” Branigan added.
Miras has been with Schneider Electric for over 16 years, holding leadership positions in various human resources environments. In June 2021, he was promoted to global vice-president, Human Resources, for Schneider Electric’s Global Sustainability Business Division.
“Thierry has been instrumental in shaping the culture within Schneider Electric, with a strong focus on creating the best employee experience,” said Olivier Blum, chief strategy & sustainability officer, Schneider Electric. “He is not only passionate about attracting and developing the best talent now, but is committed to ensuring we are creating the right culture and talent programs as we prepare for the workforce of the future”.
The award will be formally presented to Miras at EHRC’s annual Awards of Excellence ceremony, being held February 17. The event celebrates the achievements of individuals and organizations “at the forefront of industry HR best practice and leadership”.
