TiniFiber unveiling micro armour fiber at BICSI Winter show 2016

January 29, 2016 | By Renée Francoeur

January 29, 2016 – TiniFiber has announced it is officially unveiling its micro armour fiber at the BICSI Winter 2016 tradeshow in Orlando, Fla. next week. This product is the company’s “first official entry into the newly created micro armoured category”, TiniFiber says, and it features the patented stainless “steel tube” coiled protection around the inner jacket of the fiber optic cable.

Roman Krawczyk, TiniFiber’s chief engineer says, “This is accomplished by the proprietary micro armor machinery designed to tightly wind the stainless steel tubular coil around the fiber strands. This in turn provides the smallest OD of any armored fiber cable in the market as well as the same OD for current non-armored fiber cables.”

The solution offers advantages over the conventional aluminum interlocking armour (AIA) widely used today, TiniFiber adds, and minimally increases the size of the OD of the basic fiber optic cable.
