May 25, 2017 – Panasonic’s latest Toughbook launch took place in the clouds, held at the 1,776-ft tall One World Trade Centre, also known as the Freedom Tower, in New York City last week.

With jaw-dropping views of the city skyline and harbour, the company introduced a select group of media and customers to “the first fully-rugged 2-in-1 detachable laptop that features a 3:2 display”, powered by 7th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and Windows 10 Pro.

The Toughbook has been around for two decades, Panasonic stated, and this latest edition’s 1200 nit QHD, high-resolution widescreen means it’s easier to handle many applications. It also features an infrared camera, Windows Hello, Microsoft’s new biometric security system, as well as six flexible usage modes and two keyboards.

“From the beginning, we’ve designed the Toughbook product line with the demands of the mobile workforce in mind and the 2-in-1 Toughbook 33 device is the truest expression of that commitment to date,” said Brian Rowley, vice-president of marketing and product management, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America.
