November 23, 2015 | By Anthony Capkun

November 23, 2015 – Dewalt has just announced an addition to its battery-powered Outdoor Power Equipment lineup: the new 40V Max brushless chainsaw.

The chainsaw (DCCS690M1) is equipped with a motor that promises up to 100 cuts/charge using a DCB406 40V Max 6.0 Ah Li-ion battery and up to 70 cuts/charge using a DCB404 40V Max 4.0 Ah Li-ion battery, both on 6×6-in. pressure-treated pine wood. The unit features a 16-in. Oregon bar and chain with LubriLink and LubriWell auto-oiling for continuous lubrication, and a tool-free tensioning system for bar and chain adjustments. With no “pull-to-start” issues, Dewalt says this chainsaw is ideal for use in landscape and construction applications… even in closed spaces. The chainsaw comes with 1 battery and an MSRP of $499.
